Office Update: How We’re Here for You!

For the next few weeks I will be reducing our office hours and postponing any elective procedures. I want to do my part to “flatten the curve” by limiting exposure. I am trying to protect you, my staff, myself, and everyone’s loved ones. Additionally, I am trying to reduce the PPE (masks, gloves, and gowns) that we are using because our hospitals need it more. BUT…if you are in the middle of treatment or develop a dental concern, I am still available to care for you. Please call the office 772-275-0110 or e-mail me at: drkerstin@edgewatersmile.com

Should you need to come in, here’s what we’re doing to keep you safe during your appointment:

  • As always, our clinical areas are subject to high-level disinfection between patients and our instruments are sterilized between uses. This has not changed.

  • We have removed all magazines, books, and children’s toys from the waiting room. The magazines are being recycled and the books and toys disinfected, but will remain in storage until the crisis passes.

  • Changing the schedule to space appointments to reduce the likelihood of patients sitting in the waiting room.

  • Disinfecting non-clinical areas between patients.

  • We are screening patients at the confirmation call and asking those with an active cough, fever, or other respiratory symptoms to reschedule their appointment. We are screening patients for fever at arrival to the office.

    • If you have a dental emergency during a time when you are feeling unwell, please contact the office and we will do our best take care of you remotely.

These are difficult times for everyone and we want you to know that we are thinking about you and your families. We are a part of the dental profession because we love what we do and enjoy doing our jobs. We miss caring for you. We miss seeing you and hearing about your lives…what you, your kids, or grandkids have been up to. Plans for spring and summer. We will all get through this and look forward to seeing you soon!

Be well!
